{"id":416,"date":"2013-12-31T17:08:47","date_gmt":"2013-12-31T22:08:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/?p=416"},"modified":"2013-12-31T17:08:47","modified_gmt":"2013-12-31T22:08:47","slug":"oh-look-a-new-posting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/2013\/12\/31\/oh-look-a-new-posting\/","title":{"rendered":"Oh, look, a new posting."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes!\u00a0 Just in time for New Year&#8217;s Eve &#8230; a new posting in the blog-thing.\u00a0 Well, not much of a posting if truth be told.\u00a0 But something.<\/p>\n<p>Anyways, I&#8217;ve been tweaking some of the pages to make them easier to read.\u00a0 Got rid of the table-based display that put images on one side and text on the other.\u00a0 It was what the old web page had, and I simply did a quick copy-and-paste, with the expectation to properly fix them for the blog &#8216;real soon&#8217;.\u00a0 Turned out to be later than sooner, but such is life and laziness.\u00a0\u00a0 So far I&#8217;ve done the Halloween and some of the scrollsaw stuff.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, in November I successfully completed the NaNoWriMo challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/2013-Winner-Twitter-Header.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-417\" alt=\"2013-Winner-Twitter-Header\" src=\"http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/2013-Winner-Twitter-Header.png\" width=\"520\" height=\"260\" srcset=\"http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/2013-Winner-Twitter-Header.png 520w, http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/2013-Winner-Twitter-Header-300x150.png 300w, http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/2013-Winner-Twitter-Header-150x75.png 150w, http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/2013-Winner-Twitter-Header-400x200.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s actually a complete novel with a beginning, middle, and end!\u00a0 I&#8217;ve very pleased with myself, truth be told.\u00a0 Am currently working on turning it into a finished piece, and self-publishing it as an e-book.\u00a0 Been reading up on that sort of stuff, and it is rather more involved than I&#8217;d initially thought.\u00a0 Fascinating to discover all the details involved in completing a book &#8230; writing it is only about 25% of the effort!<\/p>\n<p>Anyways, Happy New Year to all!\u00a0 I&#8217;ll try to update the blog more frequently.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes!\u00a0 Just in time for New Year&#8217;s Eve &#8230; a new posting in the blog-thing.\u00a0 Well, not much of a posting if truth be told.\u00a0 But something.
