{"id":308,"date":"2012-06-17T17:50:33","date_gmt":"2012-06-17T21:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/?p=308"},"modified":"2012-06-22T20:22:55","modified_gmt":"2012-06-23T00:22:55","slug":"the-saga-of-the-tiles-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/greiner.ca\/blog\/2012\/06\/17\/the-saga-of-the-tiles-continues\/","title":{"rendered":"The saga of the tiles continues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought it was over and done.\u00a0 But then a Twitter follower casually mentioned that I should seal the grout (thanks, @magruffman).\u00a0 I had no idea what that was about, since none of my reference books mentioned that at all.\u00a0 It turns out that grout is actually rather porous, and to make it water-proof it requires a sealant of some sort painted over it.\u00a0\u00a0 So I waited a week to make sure that the grout was fully cured.\u00a0 Well that and because I didn&#8217;t feel like doing it until the weekend.\u00a0 So a quick trip to the hardware store (any excuse to go there is a good one) and I had picked up the appropriate goop and applicator (and some other stuff, but SWMBO doesn&#8217;t need to know about that).<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s all the fixings ready to go.\u00a0 I must warn you that the magic goop ain&#8217;t cheap &#8230;
